In case you missed it, November was National Video Blog Posting Month (Navlopomo for short) – 1 video a day for a month. Quite an accomplishment for those producing video! Mefeedia tracked 1,116 videos (and more continue to come in as people are catching up on the last days).

We (Lisa and myself) had the pleasure of attending The Winnies last night, where MC / Hosts Irina from Geek Entertainment TV and Gary from Wine Library TV (part of the wine channel) had videoblogggers give each other awards. It was quite a party, let’s just say that. Highlights are coming in (appropriately) via video. Check out the Winnies video tag stream.

Is Friday, June 29th officially “iPhone day”? It seems tech geeks, CEOs, parents, kids – all walks of life are just waiting to get their hands on the iPhone. Check out all of the iPhone videos coming through via the iPhone tag here. 409 videos already as the day begins!

Video was hot this year dominating the Webby Awards, with lots of great videoblogs and videoblogging services representing.

Youtube, Ask A Ninja and Lonely Girl 15 took the top honors Special Achievment. The only non-video related top honor was David Bowie for his famed bowie.net an innovator back in 1998!

Also receiving awards were the videoblogs Terra Online, Cool Hunting and the Jet Set Show. Blip.tv also won for their yummy hosting services! And the vlog DriveTime received a nomination.

All in all RSS syndicated video and videoblogs in general were a big winner. Though some big names like ZeFrank and a few others were noticeably absent.
